Fussball: Lugano in der Conference League – Meine wilde Fahrt mit dem FC Lugano!

My first impressions? Total disbelief! I'm a lifelong Lugano supporter, but even I wasn't expecting them to do so well. We were never really expected to go so far in the competition! There were games where the team really struggled, the tactics seemed off, and we were all shouting at the telly. I swear, I almost broke my remote once or twice!

But that’s football, right? It's about those rollercoaster moments. The heart stopping moments when you can’t even bear to watch, and then suddenly there is a break-through and everything changes. But even those frustrating moments only make the victories taste even sweeter.

What made Lugano so strong? A mixture of factors, I believe. The team spirit was amazing. There was a real Gemeinschaft, something you could clearly see on the pitch. The players fought for each other, they supported each other. That's something that's hard to measure, but it's so incredibly important.

And then there was the manager. He created a system that worked. He adapted his tactics to suit different opponents and he seemed to get the best out of every player. A manager has to have the courage to put his team in different situations to find out what works and what doesn’t.

And of course, some individual brilliance. There were players who had exceptional moments, who stepped up when it mattered most. They've given us fans some unforgettable memories. I'm still dreaming about that one goal… (Seriously, I need to check those results!)
